BenQ rolls out Eye Care range of monitors
New Delhi, India, December 17, 2013: BenQ, a provider of digital lifestyle innovations, has launched of their Eye Care Series of monitors. It turns out staring at a computer screen for hours a day takes a toll on our vision and general health. Eye strain is very common, while headache, migraine and temporary vision impairment (difficulty focusing, seeing spots) can be the result of prolonged computer use. Feature of the new EW series monitors is the MHL connection, which ensures flawless streaming of digital content from any MHL-equipped Android smart device. This allows users to browse websites, watch videos, play games and review documents on a full 24” or 27” screen without the need of a personal computer or laptop.
Computer Vision Syndrome – or CVS – is a very real condition, impacting countless Indians who have little choice but to subject their eyes to the on-going glare of a computer screen as part of the modern work day. According to the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health(NIOSH, US) Statistics more than 90% of the people are suffering from CVS spending 3 or more hours on computer screen in a single stretch.
BenQ is leading the charge to downgrade the impact technology is having on our eyes. BenQ have eliminated flicker from their monitors and have included different modes which cut glare and significantly reduce blue LED light emissions which have shown to be detrimental to the eye.
Country Head for BenQ India Rajeev Singh said, “It’s our eye-care commitment. It’s a matter of ‘eyegonomics’ which makes our range superior in terms of eye comfort and general optical health,” he said.
